One of Kenya’s greatest attractions for safari enthusiasts is it sheer variety of wildlife and landscapes. From the flamingo-filled waters of Lake Nakuru, to the riverbeds and valleys of the Samburu National Reserve, the azure waters of the southern coast and the game-rich savannahs of the Maasai Mara, Kenya really does have it all.
Following an arrival flight into Nairobi, you will take a private charter flight up to the Samburu region. Situated seven kilometres from the Samburu National Reserve, you will arrive in time for lunch and a chance to relax, before heading out later on an evening game drive. The advantage of staying at Saruni Samburu, is that you have the whole of the Kalama Conservancy to yourself. Today provides a chance to explore the area around the lodge in the company of the local Samburu people, with game drives and bush meals providing popular and gentle options for some local exploration. Between excursions you will return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the hospitality and superb food for which it is renowned.
Saruni Samburu Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerFollowing a final morning's safari activity, you will transfer back to the airstrip after breakfast and take a private charter flight up to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Lewa is, less well known than the Maasai Mara or Amboseli, but just as good for wildlife encounters and safaris. This is the premier place to see Northern white rhino and Black rhino and it is a wonderful conservation success story. Tonight you will stay at Lewa Safari Camp.
Lewa Safari Camp Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerEnjoy game drives within the wildlife-rich Lewa Conservancy, with lion, leopard, elephant and rhino amongst the animals often seen in the area. Guided bush walks allow you to learn more about the smaller animals that might be missed on game drives as well as the traditional uses for plants, trees and roots by the local people. The area is also ideal for horse riding safaris whilst camel treks put a slightly different twist on mounted safaris. The camp is heavily involved in a number of community projects and visits to these are hugely rewarding. They are also able to arrange, for an additional cost, trips to the nearby Ngare Ndare Forest for a treetop canopy walk.

Lake Elementeita Serena Camp has an outstanding location on the shores of glittering Lake Elementeita in Kenya's Soysambu Conservancy, under the shadows of ancient volcanoes.

Embark on a captivating game ride, relax poolside, spoil yourself with a spa treatment or participate in one of the many activities offered within the camp. A short distance away is the flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru, internationally renowned for the large flocks of flamingos that live on the lake. Often numbering over one million, the flocks lend a distinct pink hue to the lake and make for a wonderful subject for keen photographers.
Lake Elementaita Serena Camp Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerFollowing an early breakfast at the lodge you will be driven back to the airstrip for the onward flight south to the Maasai Mara. On arrival, a game drive transfer sees you arriving at camp in time for lunch, before heading out later on an afternoon game drive. Home to some of the largest populations of big cats on the continent, as well as more than 470 species of birds, an exploration of these game-rich plains provides endless chances for some astonishing wildlife encounters. Day time game drives are the main activity on offer and get guests out to see the area's varied wildlife including lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant and black rhino as well as a huge variety of plains game.

Guided walks (booked at an extra cost) are also very popular here and allow guests to see and learn about some of the smaller things that might be missed on game drives. The Maasai Mara provides a great opportunity to enjoy one of the park's most memorable experiences. For those looking to enjoy something a little different massage treatments down by the river and visits to a local Maasai village can be arranged as can sunrise hot air balloon safaris, but we do recommend booking these in advance owing to their popularity.

Transferring to the airstrip after breakfast you will fly back to Nairobi this morning, to connect with an onward flight to Ukunda Airport on Kenya's southeastern coast. A short drive from the airport then brings you to the shores of the Indian Ocean, where you will spend your final few nights enjoying the azure waters and white sand beaches as you check in at Sands at Nomad.
